WASA and the Social Impact Initiative present Fred Swaniker
In collaboration with the Wharton Social Impact Initiative, WASA welcomes Fred Swaniker to campus!
Fred is the founder of the African Leadership Academy, the African Leadership Network, and ALU: African Leadership Universities.
In recognition of his work in developing Africa’s future leaders, Fred has won numerous honors. He’s been named a TED Fellow, a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader, a Fellow of the Aspen Institute’s Global Leadership Network, and one of the Top Ten Young Power Men in Africa by a 2011 Forbes Magazine online feature. He earned his MBA from Stanford Business School, where he was named an Arjay Miller Scholar, a distinction awarded to the top 10% of each graduating class. He was born in Ghana but has lived and worked in about 10 different African countries.
