Wharton African Student Association (WASA) 2011 Executives

WASA is led by a highly dedicated group of individuals who ensure the association is well managed and efficiently run. Below are the current officers:

 

President
Abiodun Sanusi is a Chartered Financial Analyst and an Associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria (ICAN).  He graduated from the University of Lagos with a first class degree in Accounting and worked with KPMG Professional Services. Prior to attending Wharton, Abiodun was the Deputy Head of Investment Banking Division of Vetiva Capital Management Limited. He plans to major in Finance and Entrepreneurial Management at Wharton and will be pursuing a career in Infrastructure Finance/Private Equity after his MBA

Conference Co-Chair
Muoyo Okome is a Trained Technologist. He graduated from Princeton University in 2005 with a B.SE in Computer Science and was a Software Engineer at IBM. Muoyo plans to Major in Finance and Entrepreneurial Management at Wharton and will be pursuing a career in Strategic Consulting after his MBA degree.

Tembwe Mutungu graduated with a B.SE in Engineering from the University of Witwatersrand in 2007 and worked as Business Analyst at Mckinsey and Company in Johannesburg, South Africa prior to attending  Wharton. He enjoys playing rugby and dancing.

Olufemi Adebayo is a graduate of Ogun State University, Nigeria where he obtained a B.Sc. in Banking and Finance. Olufemi worked with Kakawa Discount House, Larfage Cement Wapco Plc and First Security Discount House as manager of Asset management. He is planning on majoring in Finance at Wharton and will be pursuing a career in Sales and Trading after completing his MBA program.

Chinelo Mba graduated from the University of Nigeria with a B.Sc. in Accountancy. she is an Associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria. Prior to attending Wharton, Chinelo was a Manager Audit services, at the Assurance and Business advisory division of KPMG, Lagos. At Wharton she plans to major in Finance and Strategic Management and will be switching her career to Investment Banking/Private Equity.

Arlette Andely obtained her Master of Science in Management at EMLYON Business School, majoring in Banking and Finance. She was a senior associate, Financial service office at ERNST & YOUNG prior to attending Wharton and plans to major in Finance and International development. Arlette plans to continue a career in finance after MBA.

Anita is an Electrical Engineer by training. She graduated from Makere University, Kampala with a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering. Anita was a customer solution manager at Ericsson AB, a world leading provider of telecommunications equipments and services. She is planning on majoring in Finance and Strategic Management at Wharton and will be taking a role in management consulting after business school

Ngetha Waithaka is a Middlebury College trained Economics. He graduated with a B.A. in Economics. Prior to attending Wharton he was a Private Equity Associate at Pacific Corporate Group Capital Partners and an Investment Banking Analyst with Credit Suisse. Ngetha plans to major in Finance and Entrepreneurial Management. He would love to continue a career in Private Equity after MBA.

Prior to attending The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, Zoe Karl was a Product specialist at Bloomberg LP in New York. She graduated from Bryn Mawr College with a B.A. in French and Economics. At Wharton Zoe plans on majoring in Management. She will like to join a multinational corporation focusing on growth in Sub-Sahara Africa.

Chief Information Officer

Obed graduated from the University of Benin, Nigeria with a B.Sc. in Computer Science. He worked as a software development and support professional in Societe Generale Bank Ltd. and he was the Head of Automated Clearing and Settlement at the Lagos Bankers Clearing house before coming to Wharton. He plans to major in Finance and Strategic management and joining a management consulting firm after MBA.
